Their first limited release expression is Whiskey Drummer, a straight bourbon with a mash bill of 78.5% corn, 12.5% rye, and 9% barley that has spent 15 years in its oak casks. About Three Chord
Three Chord Blended Bourbon Whiskey is "inspired by music, enhanced by technology." It's the brainchild of acclaimed musician, songwriter, and producer Neil Giraldo and his Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Steel Bending Spirits company. Giraldo has long admired the vibration that is the source of music. "I also saw how drinks resting on our guitar amplifiers would vibrate and wondered if the implementation of sound and vibrations could also be used to alter and enhance the structure of a seasoned spirit," says Giraldo. "I wanted to take that same philosophy and apply it to making bourbon."Three Chord sources their whiskey from Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Indiana. Whiskey maker Ari Sussman has worked with 15 distilleries, winning several awards in the process. Now he carefully watches over the blending process, bringing together some of the finest bourbons and ryes of varying ages. The assembled blend goes into casks, treated with their proprietary pyrolisis barrel-toasting process. A number of different casks of varying char levels are used ― these include French and American oak, as well as uncharred barrels from Cognac and Spain. Each small batch is thorou ghly inspected by a sensory panel before the spirit is bottled in Chelsea, Michigan.

About Hennessy XO x Julien Colombier Cognac
The long and sophisticated process of making this premium cognac stars with the grapes. Hennessy uses the late-maturing variety Ugni blanc, which provides just the right balance between high acidity and low alcohol content for creating well-balanced eaux-de-vie (water of life). It takes approximately 12 kg of grapes to obtain one liter of eau-de-vie. Pressing the grapes produces 9 liters of wine, which is first distilled to make 3 liters of brouillis, and for the second time to make one liter of pure eau-de-vie. These eaux-de-vie are then put in French oak barrels and stored in special, carefully monitored cellars. Every day, the Hennessey tasting committee meets to select or reject eaux-de-vie, and the selected barrels are then sampled annually throughout maturation. This process is steered by Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, who became Hennessy’s eighth-generation master blender from the same family after having learned the secrets of the craft from his uncle, Yann Fillioux. The creation of premium cognac does not end at aging. The Master Blender and the Tasting Committee meticulously select the eaux-de-vie for blending, consistently replicating perfection and taste.At the end of 2021, Hennessy partnered with French artist Julien Colombier, releasing 3 limited-edition bottles in celebration of the holiday spirit: a VS, VSOP, and XO. The self-taught artist contributed the design of the bottles, inspired by nature and art deco. Hennessy X.O (X.O stands for extra old) was created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of friends. It was the first cognac to be labeled extra old. About 100 different eaux-de-vie are blended to create this elegant and complex cognac that is presented here with stunning, limited-edition artwork.

Elijah Pepper began distilling whiskey at the dawn of the American Revolution and during the War of 1812, he built the first log cabin distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. Eventually, he passed the family business on to his son, Oscar, and then on to his grandson, James E. Pepper.Colonel James E. Pepper was one of Kentucky's first bourbon aristocrats — he raced thoroughbreds in the Kentucky Derby, traveled in a private rail car, and made famous the Old Fashioned cocktail. "Pepper Whisky is an old fashioned whisky, made in the old time way from a formula used for more than 100 years by three generations of the Pepper family," wrote James, in an advertisement dated August 22, 1887. "We claim not only to make the oldest but absolutely the purest and best brand of whisky made in America, and we invite comparison with any whisky of any age."
In 1958, after the whiskey industry fell on hard times, the James E. Pepper Distillery was forced to close its doors. During its tenure, Pepper Whiskey, or "Old 1776 Whiskey" as it became known as, was a favorite of Presidents Andrew Jackson and Ulysses S. Grant, and was preferred by Daniel Webster, a leading American statesman and senator from Massachusetts.
This expression was distilled in 1953 at the James E. Pepper distillery ― only 5 years before the distillery closed its doors ― and bottled in 1969. Released as a part of Dowling Distillers Collector's Item series, the 16-year-old bourbon is bottled-in-bond, clocking in at 100 proof. It's a rare bourbon that's a true collector's item, just as the name implies.

After the barley has been malted and peated, it is mashed and fermented with pure water drawn from the Laggan River. The water has spent two millennia percolating in the ancient rock formations and peat bogs of Islay, giving Bowmore Whiskey its distinctive, chewy body and subtle mouthfeel. About Auchentoshan 32 Year Old 1979 Oloroso Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Auchentoshan Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from malted, optic barley that is gently kilned and completely unpeated. The barley is milled and mashed before being fermented in wooden washbacks made from Oregon Pine. The wooden washbacks (as opposed to the stainless steel washbacks used at most distilleries) retain a portion of the heat produced during fermentation, and ultimately produce a lighter and slightly sweeter whisky.While Scotch whisky is traditionally distilled twice, Auchentoshan Single Malt Scotch is copper-pot distilled three times — first through a wash still, then through an intermediate still, and finally, through a spirit still. This extra step during distillation — no other major distillery uses an intermediate still — is both time-consuming and expensive, but it produces a 160-proof Whisky that is incredibly pure and free of impurities.
This 32-year-old is a single-cask expression that was distilled in 1979. It has spent the entirety of its maturation in a first-fill oloroso sherry cask before being bottled at 101 proof. Fruity and spicy, it's a wonderfully mature whisky that showcases the triple-distilled Lowland style with panache.

About Blanton's
In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born on a farm situated just outside of Frankfort, Kentucky. At the age of 16, Blanton began working at the Old Fire Copper Distillery (often abbreviated O.F.C. Distillery) as an office boy. Over the next few years, Blanton reportedly worked in every department at the distillery. By the age of 20, he was appointed the superintendent of O.F.C, and worked there until his retirement in 1952.Much like his mentor, E.H. Taylor, Blanton was a traditional bourbon aristocrat, wedded to the production of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Blanton identified a certain section of Warehouse H at his distillery, which he believed was the best for aging bourbon, and would personally select individual barrels from the section to bottle for his own private reserve.

The distillery derives its name from the ancient Gaelic word "lag"(meaning hollow) and the ancient Norse word "vik"(meaning bay), which refers to its location on the shores of Loch Laphroaig.In 1836, Donald Johnston offered his brother £350 for his interests the distillery, and ultimately became the sole proprietor of Laphroaig Distillery. Starting in 2014, Tun 1509 was born as a successor to Tun 1401, the first in the Tun range in which the fourth Malt Master David C. Stewart selects some of his favorite rare casks from the oldest warehouses. Stewart received his MBE from Queen Elizabeth II in 2016 for his services to the Scotch Whisky Industry. Tun 1509 Batch #4 had Stewart select 23 casks ― 13 American oak barrels and 10 European oak sherry butts from their most precious stocks. About The Balvenie
Born into poverty in December 1839, William Grant became a cattle herder at the age of 7 in order to supplement his family's income. As a teenager, Grant apprenticed as a cobbler and a clerk, and in 1866, he joined Mortlach Distillery as a bookkeeper. For the next two decades, Grant managed the affairs at the distillery, while secretly learning the art of distillation. In 1886, he resigned from his position as distillery manager and bought a field beneath the towering shadows of Balvenie Castle, which he eventually converted into The Balvenie Distillery. Today, The Balvenie Distillery, situated in the Speyside region of Scotland, remains one of the most prestigious independent distilleries in all of Scotland.The Balvenie Single Malt Whisky is made from fresh, plump barley grown on Balvenie Mains, a 1,000 acre farm situated adjacent to the distillery (the farm has been the distillery's source for barley for over a century). After the barley is harvested, it is malted at the distillery with spring water sourced from the rolling Speyside hills that overlook the distillery. During the malting process, the barley is turned up to four times a day in order to ensure that it germinates evenly (The Balvenie is the only single malt Scotch whisky distillery that continues to grow and malt its own barley).
Once the barley has been malted, it is milled and mashed at the distillery before being fermented using a proprietary strain of yeast. Following fermentation, the wash is distilled twice, first through Balvenie's copper-pot wash still and then again through its copper-pot spirit still. "The most important reason for using a copper still," explains Dennis McBain, Balvenie's coppersmith, "is that it acts as a catalyst. It removes any sulphur which may be carried over from the fermentation process prior to distillation."McBain, who joined Balvenie Distillery in 1959, is one of the oldest coppersmiths remaining in the industry.
In addition, the size and shape of Balvenie's stills — the stills' necks have unique boil balls that are nicknamed "Balvenie Bowls"- results in Balvenie's signature bold and malty flavor profile. "The size and shape of the boil ball allow for the vapors to mix before continuing up the head," explains McBain. "That helps make The Balvenie special."

About Black Button
In 2012, Jason Barrett became the head distiller and founder of Black Button Distilling – at only 24 years old. Coming from a family of the finest men's suit buttons makers, worn by "Presidents, Popes, Kings, and Businessmen the world over", Barret worked in his grandfather’s factory when he was younger, but soon realized he wanted to carve out his own path.After graduating, Barrett returned to his hometown of Rochester, New York, to follow his passion – make whiskey and open a craft distillery, the first in Rochester since Prohibition times. Wedged between Williamsburg and Vinegar Hill, Colin Spoelman and David Haskell, the master distillers at Kings County, make hand-crafted bourbon and moonshine out of the century-old Paymaster Building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.A typewriter the two distillers found on the sidewalk in Williamsburg is used to make the labels that adorn their clear, flask-like bottles, while a hairdryer (made by Revlon) is used to affix each bottle seal. Handwritten scrawls on a chalkboard keep track of different batches, and mesh laundry bags are used as strainers. Haskell and Spoelman use the first alcohol produced from each batch — the "head" — as a disinfectant and sell the used mash to a pig farmer who uses it as feed. "I still don't understand why it doesn't make the pigs drunk," Haskell says.
About American Whiskey
There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye< /a>, but some other spirits don't fall into those two strictly regulated categories.

About Johnnie Walker
Johnnie Walker, one of the most widely distributed brands of blended Scotch whisky in the world, originated in the Scottish burgh of Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire. The story of the brand starts with John Walker, who started a profitable groceries business with the inheritance from his father. John Walker, himself a teetotaler, found his competitive edge in whiskies he blended himself, offering his customers a consistent product, unlike most other grocers, who usually sold a line of single malts that were never all that consistent. Whisky represented about eight percent of the sales when John’s son Alexander Walker took over the business after his father’s death in 1857, and when the company was passed on to the third generation, this share was already between 90 and 95 percent. The legalization of the blending of grain and malt whiskies by the Spirits Act of 1860 marked the beginning of the modern blended Scotch whisky. Johnnie Walker's first commercial blend, called Old Highland Whisky, was launched in 1867. Alexander Walker also introduced the brand's signature square bottle, and the distinctive slanted label. In 1893, the Walkers acquired the Cardhu distillery, and kept expanding through the early 20th century by buying interests in a number of distilleries. This ensured the company a steady supply of whiskies for its blends. By 1909, John's grandsons George and Alexander II had expanded the line, and sold three blended whiskies.In 1909, the company rebranded its whiskies, introducing the famous striding man logo and renaming the blends after the colors of their labels. By 1920, Johnnie Walker could be bought in 120 countries. The company joined Distillers Company in 1925, and, after its acquisition by Guinness, and Guinness’s subsequent merger with Grand Metropolitan, the brand is now owned by Diageo.
